I’ve got my head down going into this year listening to audiobooks and music and glancing with one eye open at the news. I’m thinking of becoming a Lifestyle pages person, that could be my happy ticket through the next few years.
It’s cold here right now but I’ve been getting out in it every morning and evening with the puppy and it’s been weirdly uplifting. When you don’t live in a big city or in the country, you can escape being outside if you want to. The suburbs and mid-sized cities will get you almost door to door in your car pretty much anywhere you need to be. Isn’t that strange to think about how little we have to interact with the weather? Or with each other for that matter. It’s dangerous for an introvert like me with tendencies towards avoiding the wide open spaces for fear I’ll get trapped into going somewhere fun with someone.
