November of 2020 is here and you don’t need me to tell you that turning on the news is bad for your health. We’ve been warned by medical experts that it is going to be a “very dark winter” and I am craving color, pattern and life in my interiors to combat my ongoing pandemic fatigue.
My daughter’s school is shut down right now. Dave works for Denver Public Schools and he’s home full-time teaching. I am still working, but lead times are long and prices are rising. It’s not as novel or even exciting as it once was. It’s boring and it’s more of the same every single day. I imagine this is true for a lot of people world-wide. What do we need in our homes? I think we need color and pattern to combat the normal winter blues that are a poisonous combination with the pandemic and the ongoing political stress. November in America has been one long day leading into a dark night. Go crazy with color in your own home this month – you deserve it.

“You the people have the power to make life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.” Charlie Chaplin, The Great Dictator
I like the idea of going crazy with one element of a room, and keep the rest soft and normal.
Partial crazy is always good…. 🙂
I also love the natural materials, the texture, the colors, everything…Just looking at these pictures makes me feel cozy already!
